    It says it will add…. yes or no [y/]
    I type y and hit enter and it aborts. Ive tried y, Y [y] , what do I do from this step to mining coins?

      For which step? and which distro are you using for your server? Ubu 12.04 X64? or 13.04 X64?

      • Nicholas

        If it’s easier to go to email, that works for me too. Thanks for the help. I did everything in the guide and I’m connected with Putty. 13.04×64
        After this operation, 17.2 MB of additional disk space will be used.
        Do you want to continue [Y/n]?
        No matter what I do, it just says abort.

        How do I get it to go. Then once that all loads then what?
        I copied and pasted this: sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=64M count=16
        sudo mkswap /swapfile
        sudo swapon /swapfile

        apt-get install git
        git clone https://github.com/primecoin/primecoin.git
        apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev libboost-all-dev libdb5.3++-dev -y
        cd ~/primecoin/src
        make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-
        mkdir ~/.primecoin
        echo “rpcuser=username
        rpcpassword=AVeryLongComplexOne
        gen=1″ > ~/.primecoin/primecoin.conf
        sudo mv primecoind /usr/local/bin/.

        primecoind –daemon

          Try running the swap commands after cd ~/primecoin/src

          sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=64M count=16
          sudo mkswap /swapfile
          sudo swapon /swapfile

          then do make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-

    I have been mining on two servers at over 1000 pps and still have 0 in my wallet. Is this normal?

    • jimmo

      Yes, this is normal. 1,000 PPS is probably 1 in 100,000 chance of finding a block. The network currently has over 60,000,000 PPS going into it. You need to get at a higher level PPS some how.
